Mindfulness Interventions on Mental Health in Working Adults: A Scoping Review.

Healthcare (Basel, Switzerland) February 28, 2026 Edgar Vásquez-Carrasco, Vanesa Bruna, Javiera Barraza et al.

This scoping review synthesized evidence on mindfulness-based interventions for mental health in working adults. Nine randomized controlled trials met inclusion criteria, drawn from 1803 records identified in four databases up to October 2025. The studies covered Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness-Based Self-Care, Mindfulness-Oriented Therapy, and digital mindfulness interventions. Overall, the interventions demonstrated beneficial effects across several mental health domains. The authors conclude that mindfulness interventions show promising benefits for improving mental health among working adults, and that their structured, brief, and adaptable formats support feasibility for integration into occupational health programs and workplace mental health promotion.
