Social Media Data Mining With Natural Language Processing on Public Dream Contents

Dream content shared on the Reddit r/Dreams community shifted in positivity, negativity, and neutrality from before to after the COVID-19 pandemic began. The authors fine-tuned the LLaMA 3.1-8B model to classify sentiment in dream reports. The analysis suggests that the pandemic influenced subconscious processes, with dreams serving as potential indicators of public well-being during the crisis.
