Ayurveda's holistic mind-body medicine integrates mental, emotional, and physical health. The chapter describes the three Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) as fundamental qualities shaping mental constitution, and Ayurveda's psychosomatic framework shows how emotional imbalances influence the doshas and contribute to disease. Therapeutic approaches include Medhya Rasayanas (cognitive-enhancing herbs), dietary principles, Panchakarma detoxification, and consciousness-based practices like yoga and meditation. Scientific validation of Ayurvedic interventions through neurobiological research and clinical efficacy studies is reviewed, along with opportunities for integrating Ayurveda with contemporary psychotherapy. The analysis argues that Ayurveda's holistic approach offers essential insights for addressing modern mental health challenges by recognizing the inseparable unity of body, mind, and consciousness.
