Relationship between Mindfulness and Eudaimonic Well-Being in a Thai Adult Sample: Roles of Hope and Meaning in Life

International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling July 12, 2025 Somboon Jarukasemthawee, David B. Feldman, Kullaya Pisitsungkagarn et al. 1 citation

In a sample of 269 Thai adults, mindfulness correlated positively with eudaimonic well-being, and this relationship was partly explained by hope and meaning in life. Together, mindfulness, meaning, and hope accounted for 63% of the variance in eudaimonic well-being. The study highlights the role of these psychological resources in a Buddhist-influenced cultural context often absent from mindfulness research.
