A randomized controlled trial tested mindfulness-based music therapy (MBMT) in senior college students. The intervention group received six weekly 40-minute MBMT sessions plus homework over six weeks. Compared to a control group, the MBMT group showed significantly lower depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and higher sleep quality and resilience post-intervention. The authors suggest MBMT may be incorporated into curricula to enhance mental health and well-being.
