Young MDMA users in Montevideo (2017-2019) reported motivations already known in other studies—euphoria, disinhibition, energy release, and shared happiness—but also emphasized the value of sincere communication and confidence in achieving low-risk experiences that foster lasting bonds from shared use. These findings may inform clinical strategies that include MDMA as an adjunct to therapeutic experience.
