قراءة مخدرة لأسد جوديث طومسون في الشارع

مجلة کلیة الآداب القاهرة September 1, 2020 امانى وجيه عبد الحليم

The paper traces features of Psychedelic art in Judith Thompson’s play Lion in the Street (1990), exploring how the play externalizes internal feelings stored in the unconscious. These characteristics are analyzed against C. G. Jung’s theory of Individuation, which aims to heal splits between the conscious and unconscious by experiencing the unconscious’s vital imagery and affective power. The three stages of Individuation—Personal Unconscious, Shadow (Anima/Animus), and Self—are employed to examine characters’ movement from unconscious to conscious, reaching a new realm of consciousness that promotes wholeness and freedom.
