More Than Meets the Eye: Toward a Post-Materialist Model of Consciousness.

Mainstream models of consciousness cannot explain the full range of human experience. This article argues for a paradigm shift by presenting three phenomena that contradict a materialistic view of consciousness. It proposes an alternative framework of reality and mind-matter interaction that accommodates these phenomena, integrating ideas from psychology and quantum mechanics. Combining this framework with Frederic W. H. Myers' psychological concepts yields a more comprehensive model of consciousness, offering new perspectives on altered states, genius, and mental health.
