A preliminary cognitive-phenomenological model called Noesis Directa describes a non-discursive cognitive functioning where direct apprehension predominates without conscious mediation by mental imagery or inner speech. The model integrates phenomenological description, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and contemporary literature to propose an exploratory theoretical framework. Rather than offering definitive conclusions, it aims to broaden discussion on cognitive diversity and the relationship between consciousness and thought, setting the stage for future empirical investigation.
