Exploring Consciousness Beyond Carbon-based Life: Integrating Quantum Phenomena, Holographic Principles, and Multiverse Theories

A hypothesis that consciousness may transcend carbon-based life was tested by integrating quantum entanglement, the holographic principle, orchestrated objective reduction (Orch-OR), and the multiverse hypothesis. Using a Bayesian framework with a prior probability of 0.5, likelihood estimates from empirical data on these four theories yielded a posterior probability of 0.72 supporting the hypothesis. Participants reported transformative experiences consistent with the theoretical constructs. The results suggest a framework for understanding consciousness beyond carbon-based life, though reliance on theoretical models limits empirical validation and subjective reports introduce variability.
