Trials December 1, 2020 Katherine T. O’Donnell, M. Dunbar, D. Speelman
A randomized controlled trial will test whether daily use of a mindfulness app for 30 days reduces anxiety and improves well-being in adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 150 participants will be assigned either to use the Insight Timer app for 10 minutes daily or to a control group that does not use the app. Anxiety and well-being will be measured before and after the 30-day intervention and again two months later. The study is open-label and will compare changes in survey scores adapted from the GAD7 and WHO-5. Results are not yet reported.
