A 12-week movement-based mindfulness program called Mindful Energy Balance Exercise (MEBE) reduced motor tic frequency and intensity, increased mindfulness scores, and decreased anxiety symptoms—especially separation and social anxiety—in children with Tourette Syndrome. The program also improved daily functioning, with the strongest gains in school-related functioning and a trend toward improvement in physical functioning. These results suggest that MEBE is a feasible and promising intervention for improving psychological and functional outcomes in pediatric Tourette Syndrome care.
