A Case Study of Meditation to Reduce Alcohol Use Disorder Symptomology in Veteran PTSD Comorbidity

A single veteran with PTSD and alcohol comorbidity completed a two-week meditation intervention. A moderate but not statistically significant correlation was found between using meditation to reduce alcohol consumption. Meditation did reduce PTSD symptoms. The findings are specific to this single-participant study and need replication before being applied generally.
