Personality and dream content: are dreams, dreamer's footprints?

Among 370 participants from Karachi, Pakistan, extroverts reported higher frequencies of most dream types compared to introverts, except that introverts had a statistically higher frequency of dreams about past events. A dream about being someone else, such as an actor, occurred exclusively among extroverts, as did the feeling of climbing or jumping from a height. Frequencies of creative dreams, dreams of fighting or quarreling, writing in open spaces, flight, and falling were similar between the two groups. The authors conclude that while differences were not significant for all dream content, the findings suggest personality does influence dreaming.
