Academic Self-Efficacy and Life Satisfaction Among Adolescents: Mediating Effects of Self-Transcendence

Among Korean adolescents, academic self-efficacy and self-transcendence are positively linked to life satisfaction, and self-transcendence partially mediates the relationship between academic self-efficacy and life satisfaction. Life satisfaction also correlates with gender, grade, academic achievement, relationships with peers, and religion. Peer relationships significantly relate to academic self-efficacy, self-transcendence, and life satisfaction. Intervention programs aimed at boosting adolescents' life satisfaction should focus on enhancing both academic self-efficacy and self-transcendence.
