Paranormal phenomena in the Philippines, such as telepathy and prophecy, are common and may stem from Filipinos' deep cultural empathy and the transpersonal nature of their psyches. Folklore spirits with observable physical effects suggest a continuum between material and spiritual realms, implying the individual mind extends beyond the self to recognize sentient expressions in nature. This paper provides an overview of Philippine parapsychology and proposes a novel framework, the Sarili-Mundo model, for future research on paranormal phenomena across the diverse Philippine archipelago.
