همگون اندیشی‌های حافظ و اکهارت تله با توجه به نظریة تجربة اوج

ادبیات تطبیقی February 17, 2024 Rooyintan Farahmand, Ehsan Zeineddini

This comparative literary analysis examines fundamental lines of thought between the 14th-century Persian poet Hafiz and the contemporary German writer Eckhart Tolle, using the psychological theory of 'peak experience' as a framework. The authors argue that both intellectuals share similar viewpoints toward existence and self-knowledge despite living in different eras. Common themes identified include adoring nature, conciliation and tolerance, self-denial, the transient nature of the universe, and living in the moment. The study suggests that both Hafiz and Tolle have reached high levels of acuity and self-knowledge as philanthropic intellectuals, expressing their personal experiences through concise, meaningful sayings and poems. Their common message is reaching inner peace, self-acceptance, and reconciling oneself with the universe.
