The paper argues that traditional theories of language and meaning rest on a deficient foundation, and that meaning is constructed through a transcendent experience. It contrasts a conventional view of consciousness development—from pre-consciousness through subjective, objective, reflexive, to normative consciousness—with Yalçın Koç's perspective, in which an infant possesses transcendent consciousness at birth. As language develops, consciousness externalizes and the inner-outer distinction emerges, which modern thought sees as progress but Koç views as a contraction and distancing from the self. The article claims that the individual has a transcendent ground, and that language and meaning belong to a transcendent domain rather than a purely objective one.
