Contemplative Neuroscience Research Programme — Paper 1: The Cave as Laboratory for the Mind
Open MIND July 17, 2026 Shiva Rajavelu
A theoretical framework proposes that prolonged contemplative isolation can alter neural noise, brain dynamics, and functional dominance, and may speculatively increase sensitivity to ordinarily masked biological signals, including quantum-sensitive molecular processes. The framework is organized into three epistemic layers, each with separable experimental tests, so that a null result at one layer constrains only that layer without undermining the others.
