Om chanting, a core practice in yoga and meditation, may improve memory, attention, and executive function in healthy individuals. Evidence suggests it modulates brain activity, enhances neural connectivity, and boosts psychological well-being. Proposed mechanisms include regulation of the autonomic nervous system, increased cerebral blood flow, and modulation of neurochemicals. The review points to potential therapeutic uses for cognitive health and identifies areas for further study.
