A loving-kindness and compassion meditation program improved empathy and reduced negative affect and perceived stress among nursing college students. In an 8-week study, 39 students were assigned to either the meditation program or a control group. The meditation group showed statistically significant gains in empathy and reductions in negative emotions and stress compared to the control group. The findings suggest that such meditation can support emotional well-being and stress management in nursing students.
