Mindfulness Meditation and Anxiety in Nursing Students.
Nursing Education Perspectives March 10, 2020 C. Stinson, E. Curl, G. Hale et al.
A quasi-experimental study with 49 nursing students examined whether mindfulness meditation reduces anxiety. Students who participated in meditation sessions showed a statistically significant reduction in trait anxiety, while state anxiety decreased but not significantly. In a comparison group, anxiety increased significantly. However, the difference in anxiety progression between the two groups was not statistically significant. Trait anxiety may decrease with mindfulness meditation.
