Evaluation of Antidepressant and Anxiolytic Activity on Medical Representative by Using Insight Meditation

International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology April 29, 2025 Shreyas. Y. Bobade, V. V. Paithankar, J. V. Vyas

A brief meditation program (Vipassana, or Insight meditation) significantly reduced occupational stress among medical sales representatives in India. Over 21 days, participants showed a substantial drop in serum cortisol levels and changes in brainwave activity (alpha, beta, theta) measured by EEG, indicating lower stress and anxiety. The study demonstrates that a non-pharmacological, mindfulness-based intervention can improve emotional balance and reduce physiological markers of stress in a high-pressure work environment.
