A brief mindfulness intervention significantly increased hope and recovery scores among people with schizophrenia in a psychiatric hospital in Indonesia. The intervention group, which received two sessions of mindfulness, reported higher average hope (14.30 vs. 9.04) and recovery (86.78 vs. 73.56) compared to the control group receiving standard care. The differences were statistically significant. The findings suggest mindfulness can be an effective strategy to stimulate hope and support recovery in this population.
