Some Moments of Wonder Emergent within Transcendental Phenomenological Analyses

A distinctive form of wonder within Husserl's transcendental phenomenology opens onto the philosophy of religion. This wonder is not directed at how things are or that they exist, but at the fundamental principle that being is inseparable from manifestation—the ancient convertibility of being with truth. Phenomenological wonder arises primarily from the correlation between being as what is made manifest and consciousness. An even more basic wonder underlies this correlation: the manifestness of first-person experience itself, within which all other wonder emerges.
