The Pianist in the Corridor: Outcome as the Product of Structure and the Measure of Consciousness (Vol. 16)

Knowledge Commons (Lakehead University) July 20, 2026 Alen Kaminski

Consciousness is enclosed in a closed, opaque capsule whose internal rules are inaccessible from outside, yet different configurations yield distinguishable internal consequences, making the framework testable from within. The observed human world arises from two asymmetric contributions: a throw on the side of matter, whose content consciousness does not author, and an actualization on the side of consciousness, whose measure it governs. The throw sets a ceiling of possible amplitude; the measure, coded as a two-input gradient between reflective sight and substrate integrity, sets the realized fraction and form. From this closure comes a parity of influence between knowledge and ignorance.
