Abstract
Spiritual journeying is a process of unfoldment, a journey of discovering the light within. It is ongoing and continuous and is a part of the life of every evolving nurse healer. Spiritual journeying involves a conscious decision to explore ones own inner self in relation to a larger cosmic consciousness. There is an awareness, gradual or abrupt, of the paradigm shift originating from sorting new and conflicting sets of information. The sorting of the new information and experience affords the awakened individual the opportunity to enter through an entry portal to begin what can be a transformational process. The journeying process is done through inner work, often in solitude, with or without group support. Physical travel is often a part of the journey but not requisite to it. One who is engaged in spiritual journeying often emerges as a spiritual activist who convertly or overtly assists others in the healing process.
