Abstract
This project develops an operator-based research program on consciousness, focusing on the conditions under which conscious processes emerge as forms of world-binding rather than internal representation. In contrast to dominant approaches in philosophy of mind and cognitive science, consciousness is not treated here as a set of subjective states, neural correlates, or informational processes. Instead, it is understood as a mode of irreversible engagement with reality, in which possibility is transformed into concrete existence. A central concept is Eigenzeit, defined as the non-delegable instantiation of world-time in human action, where decision, responsibility, and irreversible world-binding are inseparably intertwined. From this perspective, consciousness is not located “in the brain” or “in experience” alone, but in processes that bind agents to the world through irreversible commitments.
