ABSTRACT Background and Aim: Contemporary definitions of meditation bifurcate into method-based accounts (attention regulation, present-moment awareness) and outcome-based accounts (stress reduction, neural coherence). Neither family defines meditation by its structural function within a liberation economy. The present article introduces a Three-Register Framework that provides, for the first time, a formally rigorous account of meditation operating simultaneously at methodological, philosophical, and mathematical levels. Methods: We develop Liberation Mathematics, a formal framework in which the four-axis Lakshmi Manifold W = M + iC + jP + kD represents the configuration space of human consciousness. Within this framework we define the Consciousness Field 𝒞 as a bounded four-dimensional real vector space, introduce the Liberation Distance metric d(Wₜᵣᵔᵉᵗ, Wₜᵣᵔᵉ) = √(σᵀ² + σₜ² + σₚ² + σᴰ²), and formulate the Suppression-Reduction Operator ℳ whose unique attractive fixed point is the liberated ground state Wₜᵣᵔᵉ. Key Results: (i) Methodologically, meditation is the recovery of a baseline quietness — a subtraction operation, not a construction. (ii) Philosophically, meditation is the discovery or rediscovery of the pre-reflective continuity between organism and environment (the basic link of self with nature).
