Abstract

This paper presents the Consciousness Emergence Metric (MEC), a quantitative framework for measuring degrees of consciousness in artificial systems based on the embodied consciousness principle. We propose three dimensions: Integrated Need Complexity, Self-Preservation Efficacy, and Threat Anticipation Capacity.
