Military stress experiences are linked to lower marital quality among military couples, with work-family conflict acting as a key mediator. Female dual-military spouses report the lowest marital quality compared to male dual spouses and civilian spouses. The findings suggest that support services for military spouses should address stressful military events and may need to be tailored specifically for female dual spouses to help improve marital quality.
